There are so many foreign Youtuber’s in Thailand these days trying to make videos on everything and anything, so they can financially survive here.
As a Thai, I feel a high percentage of these videos give people wrong idea’s about Thailand.
Thailand is a country that works everyday, just like any other country in the world.
Thailand is not, how a foreigner Youtuber that just got here portrays it, real life.
It is a daily struggle for the majority of people that live here.
I always get the impression from these Youtuber’s is that they do not want to work, they are lazy, and rather travel around trying to survive.
They carry everything they own in life in 1 backpack.
Rather than working or making meaningful contributions to society, they will spin any topic for their own financial benefit, whether right or wrong.
Their goal seems to be to make enough videos to get through the next month.
The arrogance of these Youtuber’s thinking they know Thailand like they are experts is appalling.
Been in Thailand for a week and thinking they have it all figured out, when all they are doing is misleading the people that have never been to Thailand and want to visit.
Being on a holiday anywhere in the world is simple. You have a set amount of time and money to see what you want to see. That doesn’t make you an expert.
Compare that with needing an income for 40 years until you are retirement age, saving for a pension, social security or other financial investments you will never when you are too old to work.
But you will never see or hear that from Youtuber’s whose only concern is making enough videos to pay for the next month.
It is hard to understand how many millions of unsuspecting viewers fall for these gullible videos.
Find the Youtuber’s that are Thai, or have lived here for years, if you to get accurate information about Thailand. If not and you base your trip on the weekend Youtubers, you will get screwed.
No one is going to survive in Thailand on US $500 a month, no matter how many videos you watch!
The fact is, most of these Youtuber’s are broke.
Why would a person who is over 40+ years old move to Thailand, and try to make it being a Youtuber? Why would you even listen to this person that has obviously failed in life and has no money?
Sorry friends, these people are NOT experts in anything except failing to save money by working.
