This is my idea of life in Thailand! I can always go on a holiday to the tourist areas (Hint: avoid high season).
Owning your own land and house is the closest way to live a normal life in Thailand. The peace and quiet, space, fresh air and ability to grow your own fruits and vegetables.
A very normal life if you can afford to purchase.
Rural areas where you can own a large swath of land are very laid back and free of all the problems one might find in the cities and tourists areas.
Thailand has a wonderful places all over the country. Find a place where you will be happy the rest of your life!
