Why are there so many bitter expats flooding social media in Thailand?
Facebook, Instagram, Forums, you name it, there is a multitude of sheer bitterness and nasty behavior.
What happened to the land of smiles?
Expats will engage in their ugly behavior’s over even the most trivial of topics.
There seems to be a mountain of pent up anger and aggression.
As a Thai woman, I find this behavior quite scary and it makes me wonder if these expats are violent and angry all the time?
If they chose to move to Thailand, what do they have to be angry about?
We can surmise many are just unhappy people in general.
Maybe their living conditions are not what they financially expected and they are angry they cannot do anything about it.
There could be a multitude of reasons.
I have found myself joining groups, only to quit rather quickly when confronted with all this nasty behavior.
Expats seem to want to confront and argue over the most simple topics.
I do not want to be part of any of this.
