The TAT is making arrangements with airlines to bring more tourists from the United States to Thailand.
An all out effort is being made between the TAT and Delta Airlines, Korean Airlines and 50 tour groups to bring more tourists from the United States.
On one hand the TAT is recognizing the importance of US tourist dollars.
At the same time, there is great opposition to foreigners owning a very small piece of land, despite a huge 40,000,000 THB investment. So small, in fact, no one would go for this deal.
Does this even remotely make any sense to anyone?
A US tourist may spend 150,000 THB on holiday, which is no where near a 40,000,000 THB investment?
Thai’s are allowed to own land and businesses in the US.
Image if that rule were to change with negative sentiment much like what we are seeing in Thailand.
There is a really a gross expectation of the amount of foreigners who want to own such a small piece of land in their own name.
They can marry a Thai and jointly own 1,000 rai if they want to.
Once again, common sense is severely lacking
