Royal Caribbean offers cruises to Thailand & other Asian locations in 2023

Royal Caribbean has announced a new series of Asian cruises on their ship ‘Spectrum of the Seas,’ setting sail in 2023 and 2024. Beginning in Singapore, travellers can set off on cruises for 5, 7, 9 or 12 nights, visiting various locations in Asia including Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Taiwan and Japan.

Guests can choose from cruises which make stops in cities such as Bangkok, Phuket, Ho Chih Minh, Manila, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Osaka to name a few.

On a 12-night cruise, guests can visit up to seven Asian destinations across three countries. If desired, guests can take a 24-night back-to-back cruise visiting Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka, and Mount Fuji in Japan, and Nha Trang, and Denang in Vietnam.

The cruise line operator is also offering shorter three and four-night cruises from Singapore that will visit Penang in Malaysia and Phuket in Thailand.

Guests who book into “luxury suites” located at the front end of the ship will have exclusive floor access, access to private restaurants and dedicated lounge areas.

The ship features Asia’s first Sky Pad, which is a virtual reality bungee trampoline experience, a FlowRider surf simulator and a sky-diving at sea experience called RipCord by iFly. The ship also features a theatre, karaoke bar, four swimming pools and ten jacuzzis.

Guests can choose from 19 dining options serving cuisine from around the world.  The “Hot Pot” restaurant will serve Chinese food, “Teppanyaki” will serve Japanese food, “Sichuan Red” will serve authentic Sichuan dishes, “Wonderland” will serve “signature classics,” “Chops Grille” will serve aged-beef and “Jamie’s Italian” will serve pasta.

Vice President and Managing Director of Royal Caribbean International’s Asia-Pacific Region Angie Stephen commented on the new wide-range of Asian adventures…

“During Royal Caribbean’s first year-round season in Singapore, we’ve continued to see travellers return for more. Being able to visit international shores again has only increased that demand. People want to cruise with us, and now they can set their sights on new adventures for next year. Today’s holidaymakers seek unique experiences and a fuss-free vacation — they want to have a fun holiday without having to worry about confusing travel requirements and restrictions — and Spectrum of the Seas delivers exactly that.

“The combination of Asian-themed experiences and signature favourites on board with the opportunities to explore Asia’s energetic cities, traditional architecture and exotic landscapes makes for the perfect way to embark on the revenge travel vacationers are seeking today.”

Tickets for Spectrum of the Seas cruises are already available to buy. Full details can be found on the Royal Caribbean website.
