Covid is still running rampid in China, it is a known fact.
But for some strange reason, the Thai govt wants to impose new Covid entry requirements on all tourists even though tourism has not recovered 100%.
This is so not to hurt the feelings of the Chinese.
Do the Chinese care about spreading Covid to Thailand? Of course not.
Is hurting their feelings more important than giving Thai people covid?
It appears that there is something very shady going on here?
Why would the govt actively seek out tourist from China when there are millions of cases of Covid? This makes zero sense.
Must Thai people risk dying over a few measly Chinese tourist dollars?
The govt has been touting how well tourism is rebounding, from all the western countries.
Why jeopardize that for the Chinese tourists who are know to be cheap-skates?
One has to wonder if China made this request to allow tourists to Thailand or if this is just a push by the Thai govt to get even more tourists back sooner?
However, I cannot understand even 1 person that would think this is a good idea unless there is something personally in it for them?
This whole plan is nothing but a bad idea what will end up hurting the average Thai person.
As always, the Thai people will end up suffering at the hands of the government.
