Don’t believe all those cheap Charlie Youtuber’s stating how cheap it is to live in Thailand, because it is not.
Those people are only surviving here with NO proper visa, no work permit and living in cheap 1 room condos.
They don’t own any property or car, or much of anything else.
No health insurance and no SAVINGS for retirement.
I doubt any are paying tax.
You can live in a tent pretty cheap in Siberia, but is that living?
To own a property, vehicle, health insurance and have money to live a normal life is not cheap. It is only cheap if you can only afford a cheap place.
I seriously doubt anyone wants to live in a 1 room flat the rest of their life until they die.
Understand the life you want to live in Thailand, understand how much that life will cost.
A week’s holiday in a nice resort with still set you back US $2,000.
Same as anywhere else in the world.
That is not cheap!
