There are over 40,000 Buddhist Temples in Thailand.
The Pink Temple, The Tiger Temple, Temple of the Red Lipped Buddha, every kind of temple you can image. Temples in caves, temples in the mountains, etc.
Why so many temples?
Over the years, we have seen a giant expansion in the amount of temples being built and temples building huge statues and attractions to lure in tourists.
Is this really the meaning of Buddhism? Or has Thailand lost it’s way and is using themed temples to pander for tourist dollars?
Do temples need 50′ tall statues and tons of neon lights?
Is this the meaning of Buddhism?
Perhaps you should think twice about donating any money, if you know the reason behind all the temples.
