BANGKOK – People in Bangkok have been advised by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to wear face masks and avoid outdoor activities after fine dust levels climbed above safe levels in several areas of the Thai capital.
This is now a recurring theme in Bangkok.
Many Thai’s have wised up to the fact of high air pollution levels, however, it appears foreigners are disregarding these warnings.
City residents have had difficulty breathing, eye inflammation, chest pain and headaches after going outside. This is a serious problem that can lead to cancer.
The safe bet is to download the Air Quality App and check the air quality every single time before you venture outside.
If the air quality level is above normal, plan on wearing a mask while you are outside.
Regardless of what anyone else does, wearing a mask can save YOU!
