Foreigner’s that come to Thailand and break the law, think since this is Thailand, that they will be able to get away with it.
Not so fast.
According to the Royal Thai Police, there have been 14,465 crimes committed by foreigners in Thailand in 2023.
Here is a breakdown of the most common crimes committed by foreigners in Thailand in 2023:
- Overstaying visas: 6,321
- Theft: 3,214
- Drug-related offenses: 2,108
- Assault: 1,352
- Fraud: 1,253
These are only the crimes reported and the number could be much, much higher.
The foreigners that break the law must not be very smart.
