I have said it 100 times, living in Thailand is all about the money.
Enough money to live and not barely survive.
There are all kinds of expats of all ages trying wild ideas to make money to stay and live in Thailand.
Expats thinking Youtube is the financial answer.
Expats teaching English.
Expats that have never farmed in their lives trying to be farmers (PS You don’t seem many rich Thai farmers that have experience farming their entire lives)
Expats trying all kinds of business ideas, with many closing within a year.
Living on the cheap seems to be the main theme on social media.
I don’t honestly know how people can get any dumber?
I think less than 0.00001% of the expats under the age of 50, ever think about what it will cost to financially survive to age 70, 80 or 90?
Thinking about making enough right now to barely survive in ludicris.
Not having health insurance is ludicris.
Not having any savings is ludicris.
Not saving for a pension/retirement is ludicris.
Sorry, these are NOT smart people.
Even if your goal of moving to Thailand was to find “The Girl”, sooner or later she will dump your broke ass.
Life costs money. Wife, family, land, house, car.
If you can’t afford to live like a normal person, this is not the place for you.
If you take to long to wise up to this fact, you may find going home and getting a job after being in Thailand doing menial things for years, will get you know where.
Ask anyone, how things have changed over the years and how no one ever estimated the cost increases. Cost will continue to go up over the years.
If you are barely hanging on financially and cheating the VISA system, there is a painful end coming.
Save enough for a ticket home!
