However, in the topical heat and humidity, it is anything but.
Businesses over the years have adopted the Western mentality of decorating with Christmas lights in Thailand as a way to draw in more customers and entice them to spend more money.
The lights are very colorful and make for a festive atmosphere, where shoppers can hang out, do some shopping and grab something to eat.
It is a festive time and people that have been struggling and stressing all year, seem to have a little time to enjoy and unwind!
