Foreigners committing crimes in Thailand is increasing at a rapid pace. Nigerian cocaine dealers, Columbian house thieves, Canadian jewel thieves, Illegal Russian businesses and an American murdering an Australian.
These are stories in the news this week.
Is this really the land of smiles for foreigners or just a cheap country where they can move to and commit their crimes?
We have to credit the police for their swift action in making all of these arrests.
The question to be asked is how are so many of these criminals being allowed into Thailand in the first place?
It appears it is too easy to enter Thailand as a tourist, then skate off the radar for years, all the while committing crimes.
I think Thailand needs to do a better job with keeping track of these thugs.
It appears lack of money is the key denominator is all of these crimes.
These criminals give all foreigners a bad name here in Thailand.
Hope they enjoy their stay in a Thai prison.
