In a structured country, where people are working the 9 to 5 grind or worse, everyone always spends all week waiting for the weekend to arrive.
Time off and time to do things other than work.
In Thailand, it is the exact same and 100% dependent of whether or not you have to work all week.
If you are working all week, you may take time on the weekend to catch up on your sleep, take the family out somewhere cool, go out to dinner, a movie and things you do not have time to do during the work week.
If you are not working, you find out the weekend is just another couple of days. The one benefit is people you know that do have to work, will have time on their weekends to visit or socialize.
