One of the good things about living in a rural village in Isaan, is most people are related and everyone knows each other.
We also have no farang’s except my husband and as a senior he is well looked after.
One only has to read all the Thai news each day to realize there are crazy and dangerous people everywhere these days.
Shootings, family killing family members, molesting children, road rage, human trafficking, drugs, you name it, Thailand has growing numbers in each of these categories.
Rural Thailand is safe. Not only that, there is no traffic and no issues.
When we do venture out of rural Isaan it is during the low season.
Minimize risk and be safe.
Sometimes it is hard to believe this is my Buddhist country.
Times are really getting worse in the cities and tourists areas.
