All I want is a safe place to live.
Even in Thailand, where people will do anything for money, a person can be a victim of a crime, a scam or worse.
When you have an influx of foreigners that had no regard for the rule of law in their own countries, move to Thailand, things are just going to get worse.
Foreigners move to Thailand underfunded and most have no way to earn money to stay.
The influx of foreigners is one reason crime is rising in tourist areas.
One only has to read the various Thai News sources in English to understand there is increasing crime and all kinds of other problems.
Tourists areas like Phuket and Pattaya seem to be the worst and attract the most foreigners to live.
For me the safest area to be is rural Isaan.
I would never exchange living in rural Isaan for anywhere in Thailand.
There is still a great sense of humanity in rural Isaan and I hope it never changes.
