Siam Rath reported from the provincial police HQ in Nakhon Pathom, central Thailand where a gang of safe crackers were arrested.
This resulted in a large number of police being named by the media. They were led by provincial commander Pol Maj-Gen Chomchawin Purathananon.
Arrested for the theft of a grannie’s safe and contents were Pui, 34, Pleum, 20, and married couple Phaen, 28, and Mai, 29.
These did the requisite pointing at the evidence.
Four heavily armed commandos were also in attendance to complete the press conference.
Chomchawin revealed that on 17th September Waree, 80, had reported a theft to the Bang Luang police.
Investigators studied CCTV in the vicinity that ultimately led them to a house in Lat Lum Kaew, Pathum Thani.
At the scene of the crime at 2 am on the 15th September, Pui and Pleum had arrived on a Honda Wave while the other two waited in a Hilux pick-up.

Pui and Pleum went into the house and stole the safe that they then transported out using a trolley held by the pillion passenger on the bike.
This was shown in a reenactment.
The safe was then loaded on the pick-up and driven away to be cracked at the house.
All the suspects were charged with burglary at night using a conveyance.
