If you think you are going to move to Thailand, need money to survive and planning on working illegally? Do NOT attempt this.
It will end badly.
40 Year old American, Jennifer Keanne Irwin, was arrested for running an illegal daycare facility on Koh Phangan.
Irwin was charged with operating a nursery or daycare center without a license. The penalty is imprisonment of up to one month, a fine of up to 10,000 baht or both according to Section 82 of the Child Protection Act.
Also, Ukrainian and Israel nursery teachers were arrested for working without a permit.
The action violated Sections 8 and 101 of the Emergency Decree on Foreigners’ Working Management and would result in a fine of 5,000 to 50,000 baht, deportation, and a ban on applying for a work permit for two years.
4 Burmese charged with working and entering the country illegally.
You might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later, the police come knocking and then life as you know it in Thailand will end.
Thailand is NOT the country to even attempt anything illegal.
Can you image these ladies situation now?
Arrested, deported and back to a life they were trying to escape in the first place.
This will leave lasting scars.
Working illegally in Thailand is not worth the RISK PERIOD!
