Explaining Thailand Gas

There are five types of gasoline available at gas stations in Thailand in 2023. The good news is most gas stations have attendants to pump the correct type of gas for your car or truck.

  • Gasohol 91 E10: This is the most common type of gasoline in Thailand. It has an octane rating of 91 and contains 10% ethanol.
  • Gasohol 95 E10: This is a higher-octane gasoline than gasohol 91 E10. It has an octane rating of 95 and also contains 10% ethanol.
  • E20: This is a gasoline with an octane rating of 92 that contains 20% ethanol. It is a good choice for vehicles that are designed to run on ethanol-blended gasoline.
  • E85: This is a high-ethanol gasoline with an octane rating of 100. It contains 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. E85 is a good choice for vehicles that are specifically designed to run on E85.
  • Premium ULP 95: This is a premium gasoline with an octane rating of 95. It does not contain ethanol. Premium ULP 95 is a good choice for vehicles with high-performance engines.

The type of gasoline that you should use depends on your vehicle’s engine and the manufacturer’s recommendations. If you are unsure of what type of gasoline to use, you should consult your vehicle’s owner’s manual.
