Ganesha, is the beloved elephant-headed deity, that holds a special place in Hinduism and beyond. He’s widely recognized as the:
- Remover of Obstacles: He removes any impediments on your path to success, both physical and spiritual.
- Patron of Beginnings: Invoked before any new venture, Ganesha brings good luck and ensures smooth beginnings.
- God of Wisdom and Knowledge: He represents intellect, learning, and overcoming ignorance. His broken tusk, often used as a pen, signifies the power of knowledge and writing.
It is strange so many Ganesha are showing up all over Thailand?
Thai people are starting to worship these concrete statues made by local craftsmen.
It is amazing the amount of money Thai people donate, thinking this statue with grant their wishes?
From what I have seen, this appears to be a money grab to attract donations with false promises their dreams will come true.
In the reality and physical context, this is only a block of cement, crafted by locals that have no magic powers or relation to a higher power that could grant any wishes.
It is sad to see Thai people spend their money to wish so hard on things this statue can never make come true.
