Thailand is not 100% perfect and certainly is no Utopia. There are things you will see that are very disturbing here. Most Thai’s turn a blind eye, but it is hard for foreigners to see and accept.
It is known that many of these kids of not from Thailand and put on the busy street corners of Bangkok to solicit empathy for these poor children and to raise money.
It is one of the saddest things you will witness in Bangkok.
The bad news is giving them money, encourages the handles to continue to put them out there on the streets.
I often find, that buying these kids a cold drink and a snack/food is the only thing I can do.
Not only for the children, but for my own feelings as well.
The sadness is crushing.
