Once you have found a girlfriend, it makes sense that you need to spend enough time together to decide if she is the one or not?
For those under 50, getting 60 to 90 days in Thailand may be all you are able to swing due to VISA regulations or getting back home to your job?
60 – 90 days is a very short time to decide to meet someone and get married.
However, being married to a Thai is perhaps the easiest way to get a VISA to stay long term in you are under 50 years old.
You are required to park 400,000 thb (US $11,765) in a Thai Bank for the year to cover the visa cost.
If you are young and able, you may be able to find a job (most likely teaching English), unless you have some mad in-demand skills. Maybe your wife works?
The good news is marriage provides the easiest avenue to stay in Thailand long term when you are younger.
