When you see a view like this from rural Isaan, it is really no different that many other places around the world.
The difference being is probably a heck of a lot hotter!
Thailand has some very beautiful areas and also mountainous areas in the north.
The cost of housing, food, etc. is much cheaper than any Thai city or tourist area.
When you start to get old and long for peace and quite, rural Isaan is the place to be.
