The CDC and WHO recommend that travelers to Thailand get vaccinated against certain diseases, including the following vaccine recommendations.
- Hepatitis A and B: Strongly recommended.
- Typhoid: Recommended based on the traveler’s risk.
- Japanese encephalitis: Recommended depending on the traveler’s itinerary and activities.
- Influenza: Recommended, especially before the rainy season.
- Cholera: Recommended for travelers at increased risk or visiting areas with active transmission.
- Polio: Recommended due to an increase in cases globally.
- Yellow fever: Required if traveling from a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.
Other vaccines that may be recommended include:
- Tetanus and Diphtheria.
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR).
- Rabies.
- Shingles.
- Pneumonia.
As of April 23, 2024, a vaccination record is no longer required to travel to Thailand.
