Retiring in Thailand

There are so many options when considering Thailand as your retirement destination.

Beaches, cities, mountains, and plains.

Phuket, Krabi, Ao Nang, Koh Chang are all excellent locations for those wanting to be near the beach. Although more expensive, those on a good retirement package should have no issues.

Bangkok is a giant, wild city with many low cost condo’s for rent and a ton of things to see and do. However, be advised, air pollution issues caused over 1,000,000+ Thai’s to get sick last year. The pollution will get worse and worse.

Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phetchabun, Lampang offer some wonderful natural mountain locations.

The air pollution in Chiang Mai during the spring burning months is unmanageable so do your research.

Isaan and specifically rural Isaan. Simple, easy life and the cheapest in Thailand.

Some find it boring, but be boring is part of the benefit. No traffic, or other issues you find elsewhere. Plus you can always take a trip at any time if you get bored.

Rural Isaan is the place for us, fresh air, fruit trees, vegetables, fish pond and everything you need. Peace and quiet. No neighbors or noise.

People might be amazed how many cool things there are to see and do around rural Isaan, void of any tourists or high prices.

Thailand offers the chance to choose the retirement scene that best fits your needs.

As always, do you research carefully.

Chok Dee!
