What is difference about the beaches in Thailand that you may not be aware of?
It gets very hot in Thailand and if you are have white skin, you can be sunburned in as little as 15 minutes. Use SPF 50 and caution!
Depending on the time of the year, the water is much, much warmer than you would expect. It will not cool you off.
Thailand has serious under currents just like other countries around the world. It is very easy to drown if you are not familiar with these currents.
STAY OUT OF THE WATER WHEN THERE ARE RED FLAGS
The red flags are posted that there are serious hazards that can cause death.
Only swim in designated swim areas. There are designated swim areas for a reason, most with lifeguards and marked off from any boat traffic.
Jellyfish – Depending on the time of they year and the beach, poisonous jellyfish can be everywhere. Some can be deadly if they sting you. Also, jellyfish that wash up on the beach still have the potential to sting you.
Beach theft – leaving your belongings gives a chance your things could get stolen. Always keep an eye on your things.
The warnings are there for a reason, it is not worth risking your life over.
