Anyone that is interested in moving to Thailand long term, I would say to them, try before you buy.
Try to live in Thailand for at least 6 months full time.
You will find out that living in Thailand full time is NOTHING like the tourist experience that Thailand has to offer.
In those 6 months you will discover a lot of things about living in Thailand that you did not already know.
Dealing with personal finances, rental contracts, landlords, utility bills, health insurance, daily transportation, the weather/flooding, traffic, air pollution, VISA regulations and a host of other things.
People get seriously confused into thinking living in Thailand is going to be the same as the tourist experience.
Newsflash! It is NOT!
You won’t have a fistful of money for that 2 or 3 week holiday, doing, seeing, eating anything you want.
After 6 months you will figure out if you can cope with the daily grind or not?
And if you decide you can, then comes the primary challenge of how to afford it the next 40 years!
