Want to or Had to?

Did you choose to live in Thailand because you wanted to or because you had to?

Some people meticulously plan out their life and retirement, set goals, and then achieve those goals.

Like retiring in Thailand with plenty of income.

Other’s are the opposite and end up moving to Thailand due to only having limited finances and because they believe Thailand is cheaper than their home country.

When you compare a western house, cars, food, etc. in Thailand, it can be no cheaper than your own country.

However, if you are willing to make sacrifices, rent a condo instead of own, no car, eat Thai food everyday, then yes Thailand can be cheaper.

For the people that HAD TO move to Thailand, I think it is a mixed bag 50/50 of those that like being in Thailand and those that miss their own country and grow to regret it.

Without sufficient funds, Thailand can just as boring as anywhere else. Plus it is much hotter!

When you have limited funds and you grow to regret your decision to live in Thailand, it can be very stressful if you do not have the money to move back or have no where left to move back to because you sold before moving.

No one can predict the future, however, when you take on a bold decision to sell everything you own and move 1,000’s of miles away, please make sure you have enough income to live the kind of life that will make you happy.
