Warning: Beach Trash

Out of the 1,000’s of colorful tourist brochures, one thing suspecting tourist will never see in a brochure is the amount of plastics and trash on the beaches.

Some beaches do a bang up job cleaning and other beaches do nothing at all.

Depending on the time of season (monsoons), that beautiful beach holiday you booked may be your worst nightmare.

This post is to make you AWARE that this can happen, because no one else is going to tell you and risk losing your tourists dollars.

Understand this is a reality, worse on the Islands and after events, and you should educate yourself to avoid this ugly situation happening to you.

Phuket beaches, Hua Hin, close to Bangkok, there are massive amounts of trash and plastics in the water.

Don’t have your holiday ruined by all this trash and ask questions first before booking.

Granted some times of the year are fine, like in High Season, but other times it can be a real nightmare.

There are dedicated expats all over Thailand in the beach areas that form groups to keep the beaches clean. However, as you can see, it is a mountain of trash collected from only 1 area in a short period of time.

Groups like the Trash Heroes will make a great cleanup effort while most Thai’s do nothing.
