The Thailand experience depends on only 1 thing? How much money you have to spend each month.
How much income determines exactly what Thailand will be like for you!
I am never going to tell anyone to sell everything they own and move to Thailand and live on US $1,000 a month, even if it is possible.
Thailand is no different than your own country. You have basic needs such as housing, food, transportation, medical, savings. This accumulates over the course of your lifetime.
You might like Thailand so much, you may want to end up here the rest of your life.
Then you have to make sure you have the income and savings to carry you into old age.
If that is the case you have to plan carefully and make sure you have enough income to live like a normal person.
US $2,000 a month is probably more than most middle class Thai’s live on and maybe what you really need as a foreigner or more. Remember one thing?
Married Thai’s are not going out to the redlight clubs spending all their money on girls and getting drunk every night. They work hard their entire lives and save money.
So you have to be sensible with your money, take care of the basic necessities, save a little and have enough left over to enjoy life.
That is what determines what kind of life you will in Thailand.
If you do not have to worry about money or income, Thailand is really a joy.
I believe in the future rural Thailand will be one of the safest places to live on the planet.
City Life, Isaan Life, Mountain Life, Island Life? It all depends on your income.
If you know how much income you will have each month, it is very easy to tell you what kind of life you will have.
Thai people are very friendly, the weather if favorable, regions like Isaan are super cheap. You could spend the rest of your life and not see everything Thailand has to offer.
Thailand is safe!
If you want to know what Thailand is like, come for a visit before getting any ideas about moving. You will know right away if this is the place for you!
