Bangkok is ranked 96th out of 100 for work-life balance.
No surprise there for people who are forced to work 60 hours a week with minimal pay.
Why does it have to be this way?
One would think with so many university educated managers and leaders, that they would be smart enough to understand the importance of work-life balance.
The majority of western companies around the world, understand the huge importance of work-life balance?
Work from home, flexible hours, flexible days, hybrid workers, shorter work weeks to 32 hours.
So why not Thailand? Who often claims to want to be among the world’s best at everything?
Work-Life balance is a simple, simple concept. If you cannot adapt to understand why, perhaps that is a key reason why Thailand has never evolved into a fully developed nation?
Why is it developed western nations can get more productivity out of western worker working 32 hours, than Thailand can get from workers who work 60 hours per work?
Come on people, it is not that hard to understand.
People who have a healthy work-life balance are happier and therefore more productive.
It is a very simple concept, yet even simple seems most impossible for most Thai companies.
